It may perhaps be convenient to explain what has been
done with regard to those sections of the Trading with the
Enery Amendment Act, 1914, which are not reproduced in the
present Ordinance.
The provisions of sections 6, 8, 10 and 13 of the Act
were introduced by sections 3, 4, 5 and 6, respectively, of
the Trading with the Enemy Amendment Ordinance, 1915, No.12
of 1915,
The introduction of section 11 of the Act in the pro-
posed Trading with the Enemy Third Amendment Bill is now
under consideration.
Subsection (1) of section 12 of the Act appears in a
somewhat wider form in section 7 of the Trading with the
Eneny Amendment Ordinance, 1915, No.12 of 1915.
Subsections (2) and (4) of section 14 of the Act
appear in slightly altered form in subsection (2) of
section 1 of the Ordinance last referred to.
It may be added that the question of introducing into
the proposed Trading with the Enemy Third Amendment Bill
the provisions of the Trading with the Enemy Amendment
Act, 1915, 5 & 6 Geo. 5, c.79, is under consideration.
I attach a table showing how the sections of certain
United Kingdom legislation relating to matters arising out
of the war have been, or are proposed to be, dealt with
in the local legislation of this Colony.
In my opinion this is an Ordinance to which His
Excellency the Governor may properly assent and in the
name of His Majesty and on His behalf,
Attorney General.
